I'm back again with I suppose what can be referred to as a mini-series, this time focusing on the perfumes I want to use up this year! I did have a recent beauty purge a couple of months ago so I got rid of a few then, but that still left me with a few nice ones that I can't wait to wear. They are...
A bit of a modern classic these days, I received this one for my birthday a few months ago. It's a lovely floral scent that's really great for the summer, and fades quite quickly so it's a delicate scent. I actually prefer this rather than stronger scents like Chanel so it suits me but it's not for everyone!
2. A&F No.1
I posted about this recently here, not much more to say apart from that it's great for special occasions Also I suppose it breaks my rule which I mentioned above about stronger scents, but it's so nice I just don't care. ;)
3. Hugo for women by Hugo Boss
This is the oldest one of the selection here as I've had it for a least a couple of years (eek!). I can't see it go to waste though so it's the one I'm currently using for everyday wear. It's quite a masculine scent at first but fades quickly to become a lot more subtle which is why I like it. It's probably the cheapest of all of them so it's perfect for everyday wear in this sense!
4 and 5. Versace Vanitas and Burberry Body
These two are my favourites and most definitely serve as special occasion scents! They're the most expensive, retailing at approx £45 each, but they're so luxurious and lovely to wear that they'd both be worth repurchasing. Versace is more classic in its scent whereas Burberry's is a little more floral, but I love them both and always reach for them on a night out.
What are your favourite perfumes?
xo

4 and 5 sound lovely, particularly the Burberry. My favourite perfume is Naughty Alice by Vivienne Westwood, it's such a gorgeous feminine scent. A scent I'm wearing everyday at the moment, is Daisy by Marc Jacobs. I received it for Christmas, and after smelling it once a while ago and thinking I didn't like it, I actually really love it for daily use. I think it's good to try things again, as you might like them the second time round and wonder why you thought you didn't! x
ReplyDeleteMy favourite perfume is Chanel No 5, I do like a heavy musky perfume. I also love Shalimar by Guerlain. Anything with hints of vanilla is a winner for me too :) Good luck with your challenge :)

I haven't worn perfume in such a long time.. I have a sensitive nose and can't handle most scents.. I've gotten my husband to stop wearing them too.. else I'd end up a sneezy mess when he's come near me.
ReplyDeleteI love the first two. The others sound lovely. My current favourites are Marc Jacobs 'Daisy' and Vivienne Westwood 'Naughty Alice' :) XO

This is so sad but I don't wear perfume. I always smell the samples in magazines and say I will get one but then I just can't part with the money. I love a good coconut smell though.

Burberry always have nice smelling perfumes, and A&F and also Hollister. You have a good collection! My favorite ones are Lancome La Vie Est Belle, Chloe, all the ones from J. Lo, Vera Wang, Coach and pretty much all from Estee Lauder.
ReplyDeleteI looove Burberry Body too, actually all of theirs are really lovely. My favourites though are Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb, Chanel's Coco Noir & Carolina Hererra's 212 Sexy for everyday wear as it's such a good price for a EDP.
ReplyDeleteI am a HUGE fan of fragrances. My current faves (these are oldies but still goodies) Vera Wang Princess, Daisy by Marc Jacobs (which I have to buy again since last spring I emptied it, its just sooo fresh) and Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf. This spring I am going to be mostly using Valentino Valentina. I could talk about this all day lol
